What is your goal? How many socks do you want to collect?
Last year, in our inaugural year, we were able to collect over 20,000 pairs of socks in the city of Winnipeg! Our goal this year is to collect even more, and try to surpass that in each city we collect in!

How does the virtual sock drive work?
To some extent, the virtual sock drive is even less work to take part in than the physical sock drive! The link above will take you the eCommerce part of our site, where you can "buy" packages of socks. We will then go do all the shopping for you, buy the socks on your behalf, and donate them to local homeless shelters. For companies who want to be involved in virtual sock drives, we can have "company sock listings", so that your customers and employees can buy from your listing. We will still do all the shopping for you, but it will allow you to track how much of an impact your company had on the sock drive!

Can I donate handmade socks?
As much as we absolutely love handmade socks, there is no way for us to confirm that these are unused and cleaned, so at this time we are only accepting donations of new, unopened packages of socks.

What type of socks should we donate?
We are hoping that everyone can donate either cotton or wool socks, as polyester won't retain heat as well. Aslo, in crew size preferably, so that the recipients ankles stay warm too!
